Uniform & Lost Property
The Wardie Family Forum aims to:
- engage in activities which support and advance the education of pupils attending Wardie Primary School in Edinburgh.
- engage in activities which support the physical, mental and social wellbeing of the pupils as well as recreational facilities available to pupils attending Wardie Primary School
- engage in activities which support the advancement of citizenship and community spirit within the school and among families.
- relieve poverty through the provision of small grants to support families of pupils attending Wardie Primary School.
Uniform & Lost Property
This group of parent helpers manages the Pre-loved Uniform Sale Rail and new uniform sales, and helps the school to sort out the mountain of lost property. The WFF aims to ensure that all our pupils have access to good quality uniform. These are made available through the school so uniform can be purchased very affordably and also distributed for free via the school for those who need it.
As a part of this group you will:
- Regularly go into the school to help sort through donations
- Help set up and take down our sale rail
- Run the sale rail at events
- Work with the school to create packs for donation
- Liase with the school to organise visits and donations
- Sort through Lost Property and try to reunite with owners via tables at events
Please put your name down for Pre-Loved by emailing wardiefamilyforum@gmail.com
Sub-groups
We have sub-groups who deliver specific projects and areas of activity, and all parents/carers are welcome to volunteer for a sub-group. These groups meet separately and work independently, reporting back at our WFF meetings. Current sub-groups include:
Events and Fundraising
Formerly the Parent Staff Association (PSA), this group organises social and fundraising events for the school community, and raises funds.
Communications
Helping to improve the lines of communication between school, parents and pupils, and keeping families informed via a range of channels.
Buildings & Environment
Ensuring we maintain good working relationships with the surrounding fields, and buildings; and contribute positively to the surrounding environment. This group also supports the school with regards to issues affecting the school building and surrounds.
